Maximum Table Height

The maximum height of a table from the floor.

MaximumTableHeight

How to measure

Application

Used in ergonomic desk assessment to determine whether a table provides adequate leg clearance for a seated user. This is a workspace measurement, not a body measurement.

Posture

Sit in your normal chair in your normal working position.

Landmark

Measured from the floor to the underside of the table at the point where your legs sit.

Tool

Tape measure.

Common mistake

Measuring to the top of the table gives surface height, not leg clearance. Measure to the underside of the table.
