Nose Length

The length from the bridge of the nose to the tip.

NoseLength

How to measure

Application

Used in eyewear nose bridge sizing, respirator and mask design, and medical facial proportion assessment.

Posture

Head level, looking straight ahead in profile.

Landmark

Measured from the selion — the deepest point of the nose bridge between the eyes — to the tip of the nose.

Tool

Digital caliper or rigid ruler.

Common mistake

Measuring from the nostrils rather than the bridge gives a shorter and incorrect result.
